Well I'll be a biscuit-munching son of a monkey's uncle. This blog still exists. Does it still get readers? I doubt it. YSAB is running fairly smoothly, so why bother with this?
Cause it's my baby that's why. Three years is a long time, and I can't say I'm dedicated to Lego in blog or brick form anymore. But I still enjoy browsing, so let's see what's out there shall we?

This "Flying brick" is pretty cool, using traditional shapes and build methods, but flipping the orientation into something new.

And this Bad Boy is all about traditional shapes and forms, arranged in a slightly off-kilter arrangement that just flows nicely.

That's all I have for now, but stay tuned. I may open this piece back for business.

One Small Step for Man, One Giant Step for Mankind....

It's

thing.

Alien fauna and flora have always been of fascination to artists of one scope or another. There's just something alluring about the concept of a world that's different enough from Earth that you don't expect it, but similar enough that it's recognizable. That's the key to this sort of genre.
For example, if I showed you this picture, would you believe that it's an alien plant? Doubtful. It's got to retain some element of plant life.
That is what is so fun about Tim and Soren's work. We know it's supposed to be flora of some kind, but we realize it's not normal.
The second aspect of this theme is fact that we all know what the expectations of the 21st century were. Flying cars, laser guns, aliens walking amongst us, rocket ships to Venus, Mars and Pluto. The fact that we're still stuck here using fossil fuel powered automobiles and using primitive explosive weapons is a letdown to the imagination. Obviously the whole Space genre is a way to show what could have been, or could be, but this has a ring of nostalgia to it. What better way to make a theme popular?

On a side note, this could have been posted on YSAB, but I got nostalgic and decided to update this blog.
There's just nothing quite like Snoikle.

BShelf,Flickr, and CSF user Stenz built an awesomefighter. As Jonesy mentioned, it looks like the White Stripes do space. The BFG is obviously one of the best parts, however it's the asymmetry that really gets me. It's just quirky enough to be eye-catching, while standard enough to appeal as a fighter to the masses.

Check this out . Izzo not only wins at mecha, space and lego in general, he now wins at life.
The moving sidewalk is so uber cool. My ceramics teacher would love this. He took a common piece of (AFOL) culture, and modified it. Uber sweet.

Like I told Lukas, school is being a bitch. That and there's this girl...... But still, I found time to waste, (I should be doing Comp II homework) by writing up a post for y'all.
Certainly not the most impressive bot I've ever seen, but hey, it has ornj on it mkay?

So while I dig up the two or three other things I wanted to show you, I will now amaze you with a fact we have been anxiously awaiting. My best friend in the almost whole wide world (with two exceptions) returns from California tomorrow. This makes me all kinds of excited. All worked into a frenzy being happy for me? good. On to the laygoes.
Here's one of the things I noticed a while ago. Decent build, nice color and excllent photography.

And last but not least, this little gem. Spawned by FBTB. Who would have guessed?

Blame it on the Boogie

CSF user Nannan Z bring's us an excellent MOC called the Guilty Light. Wonderful form, color and detail. I really like the engine. Extra points there.
The whole ships is supposed to be based on a BFG type photon cannon. And apparently, it shoots those annoying Barnacle spheres out at you. Playability +1.

Can you say clever parts usage? Excellent use of those cannon bolts. I've been messing with the cannons themselves, but I never tried anything with the bolts.

Peter Morris gives us this nifty MOC. I always enjoy his use of color, it breaks every rule in the book, but works so well. His work reminds me a bit of Dan Sibley's. Although Dan ususally controls his colors a bit more. More and more lately, I've been enjoying MOCs that break "The Rules" and still exceed at being awesome.

Uber-cool builder nnenn brings us this tiny little ship, proving his title as King O' the Micro

Reviewing Masoko Tanga

One of the fo sure bestest lego blogs out there claims the title "Masoko Tanga" Run by Brenden Wilson and coauthor Tom Buckland, it's always one of the best reads out on the intertubes. While Moyblik and Brother's Brick provide you with the newest MOCs and LEGO news, they give you little besides eye-candy. Masoko Tanga goes ABCD. A typical post is a page and a half or so long, usually going over three of four MOCs. While Brenden covers the microscale side of things, (he's been building microscale forever) Tom tends to take care of the minifig scale stuff. One of the best things I've found is trying to guess who wrote the post before you get to the end.
I believe Brenden does most of the graphics for the blog, which are all very eye -catching. The biggest flaw I find with MT is it's lack of frequent updates. We usually have to go about a week and a half between posts, if not longer. However, given the quailty of said posts, this Snoikler is more than willing to let that little glitch slide.
With more style than almost any blog I subscribe to, I found it's always an enjoyable read, giving you a look at some of the better MOCs around, the authors thoughts on trends or fads in the AFOL Online Community, or sometimes even a witty look into different aspects of life. I for one will continue to read Masoko Tanga for a long time to come.

100 Posts!

Moyblik and Snoikle hit their 100 post marks at about the same time. Excellent.
For this post, the number one thing I want to point out is this. It all started when I got an interview with Mr. Wood, about his latest 3vil MOC. Tom promised he'd steal the interview idea, and boy did he make good on his promise. Excellent interview Tom.
So 100 posts. That means a lot really, granted, quite a few were quick MOC updates, but it still took a lot of concentration to keep this thing running. And I plan on keeping it running. I've got several ideas for new posts, one or two might even make it into production. While I have you here, I'll point out a couple MOCs that surfaced recently.

Mike Yoder starts to build for Da Block
The front is the most interesting part. It's not quite symetrical, the greebs are well done, but not over exposed. I love that big cannon. Nice technique.

What Snoikle post would be complete without an izzo MOC? Beautiful work on the feet and rifle.

So I'll be around, I may even update once or twice in the next century. Stay tuned.

So Damn Clever

It's what you would call a typical fanboy Pelican, it's a rainbow warrior, the pictures are horribly blurry and oversized. But, I see some good shapes there. it's bigger than a lot of them, it has shape and form working for it. The area around the tail is more than just some plates, and the nose isn't bad for this type of MOC. With the right colors, it could eactually be a decent start to an MOC. Then, when I was about to dismiss it for alll it's shortcomings, I noticed the "first aid kits" on the back wall. Two 1x2 bricks with cross, and red cross pieces in therer work so well for that. If this guy can get past the rainbow warrior stage and actually start being original, I see cool stuff in his future.

This as Brenden pointed out, is a WIP. But what a WIP.
The raised sections of hull, the bley mixing, and the color striping all suggest an excellent builder (the other two MOCs in his folder back the theory up) I can't wait to see this finished.

Speaking of things I want to be finished, or in this case, updated, Anthony Sava's Chaos Skies was a fun read, until it stopped. I understand real life getting in the way, but I still can't help but wish for an update.

And last but not least, well maybe it is least. Soren's "Other" folder. If you haven't looked through it before, do it now.

Yup. Snoikle is back in the game. Following Brenden's suggestion, I will be doing write up on MOcs, groups of MOCs, or builders. And fun stuff like this.

So anyway, on we go

I asked Mr. Wood for a brief interview on the building process and inspiration for this new MOC he built. He was kind enough to grant me a moment of his time.

Mike:This MOC is called a "3vil" ship. What is 3vil exactly?

Ryan: From the Lugnet .space Subtheme Guide (http://www.lugnet.com/~1763/faction) by Kevin Blocksidge: "3vil is by far the most evil faction to grace the LEGO space territories. So evil are they, "L337-speak" is actually one of their official languages. To be involved with 3vil is to be an underdog. 3vil has no allies whatsoever. Their only goal is complete domination of the universe. Whether you are a fascist Iron Reicher, a fundamentalist Galactic Inquisitor, or a Space Hippie who's stench overwhelms a ship's life support systems, you are undoubtedly on 3vil's "To kill..." list. They are a force that good factions fear, and other evil factions get stabbed in the back by."

Ryan:That's 3vil. The worst of the worst.

Mike: So how long did this take you to build?

Ryan: I started it in April 2006, but didn't finish and post it until March 2007. Actual building time was maybe 15 hours or so spread across that year-long timespan.

Mike: What kind of inspiration did you have for this thing?
Ryan: This fun guy right here Link was part of someone's entry in a CGSociety Contest called "Spectacular," seen here. It's like it was made just for 3vil.

Mike: You seem to have built some 3vil before, what do you enjoy about this
theme?

Ryan: It's fun to be bad once in a while.

Mike: hehe, I'll try to take that in the best sense possible.

Mike: And what would you say was the best part of building this thing?
Ryan: Getting advice throughout the build really helped polish this model. I learned a new hinge technique that Stenz suggested, and it was strong enough of a solution to allow the main body to balance on the skis. But the best part? Finishing my first moc in almost a year.

Mike: Have you ever considered selling a model?

Ryan: I have, and I have. I've auctioned two PCS Hovertanks, my Cylon fighter, and Zoar. I built a Cylon Raider on commission and sold a bunch of floating head sportscar kits. I have more kits in the works, but no auction plans at this time.

Mike: wow, that's pretty impressive.

Mike: So it's called a 3vil Ski, it goes on water or snow then?

Ryan: No.

Mike: What kind of weapons does this thing have?

Ryan: A light FRAM cannon on top, a cluster mini-missile pod on either side, two pairs of missiles under the wings, and anti-personnel FRAP blasters under the skull. Oh, and those nasty barbs on the front of the skis.

Mike:How long have you been building Lego models?

Ryan: Since I was a kid. I've been building as a serious hobby since about 2003.

Mike:So what's your next project going to be?

Ryan: I have a lot of unfinished models lying around that I'd like to finish someday, one of which is an 3vil cruiser I've been toying with for a couple years. If that's not the next thing I post, then be on the lookout for something in the same vein as my Alien Bad Guy.

Mike: I look foward to seeing your next model.

Mike: Have you ever wanted to work for the Lego Company (TLC)?

Ryan: Early in 2006 I tried out to be a Master Model Builder at Legoland California. I didn't make it past the first round, which really disappointed me at the time. I just wasn't what they were looking for, but in retrospect I think I'm better off for it.

Mike: Yeah, I hear they don't treat you very well at that job.

Mike: And of course, there's the obligatory shameless plug question. Do you
ever read or browse Snoikle?

Ryan:I used to periodically, and then had no time to read any AFOL blogs. Now I'm back to reading almost all of them at least once a week. Snoikle needs to update more!

Mike: As it will here soon. This was the post I was waiting for to kick start the new Snoikle.

The Bridge to Terabithia

This weekend, I got to see a decent movie. TheBridge to Terabithia. Yes, it's a family movie, yes, it's only rated PG, and yes, it's far superior to most of the crap Hollywood spits out these days. The best part of the movie was really the kids. Josh Hutcherson and Anna Sophia Robb both do an excellent job at playing normal, slightly unpopular kids. They really brought a certain spark to the movie, and I really enjoyed watching them working together.
I went to see the movie with my 16 year old friend, and as teenagers, we were both a bit dissapointed. We wanted something more like Narnia. Very little of the movie really takes place in Terabithia, and that's what we wanted to see. But as a kid, it was one of the best movies I've ever seen. It really showed imagination. Not just in the writing, but in the acting and directing as well. 4 out of five stars.

And on a side note, Snoikle is going down a decidedly different path. I've dropped the idea of reviewing MOCs, that'll be reserved for Moyblik, and have gone the same way v2 did. Snoikle is now just my blog. I know, how horrible. And now, off to mess with a 75 degree day, and allergies.

First, a little tidbit to wake y'all up. I really like the series of J5N "empolyees" this guy is doing.

And now, for our Featrue Presentation:
Linus Bohman has always been my favorite guy to blog. He always makes such fun stuff. Kinda like Ley, except he posts more. His new fighter is a good example of...uh..of... well, it's a good example of something. It looks really simple, and a bit boring, but it also features some nice shapes, and a cool cockpit.
maybe 4 out of 5 right there.

His second new MOC is the one I really like. Check out the freaky yellow-white goodness. It really looks scary with all the spikes and stuff thrown on. I'm awfaid. I really like how outlandish this thing is. Bohman has never been afraid to challenge convention a bit. Well done.

I got to see the way-cool movie The Pursuit of Happyness the other day. I have to say, I'm impressed. Despite the PG-13 rating, there really wasn't much bad about it. I mean, it was almost literally rated PG-13 for "facts of life" It was really a nice story, told in a powerful way. Chris Gardner went from having $21 to his name, to closing a multi-million dollar deal in 2006. Awesomeness. Will Smith gets credit for a decent acting jo, really a change of pace for him. But it's his son who really shines here.
excellent acting. Lots of love in this movie.

What else is there to yammer about? Not really very much. I'll come up with something later.

It could have gone to Soren,izzo,Kyle Vrieze,or any number of other builders out there. But I like his syle the best.

I Freaking Love Ice

Ice is every driver's worst enemy. And yet, I love it today. Yesterday, my sister and I went sledding down the dead end part of our street. Man, that was fun.

So anyway, on to the world of Lego and blogging. Now there's something brewing behind the scenes of this and one as-of-yet unnamed blog. All will be revealed in time. (heheh, I've always wanted to say that) But until then, I'll just have to point out several MOCs that I like.

Lovely use of color and detail. One of the hottest ships I've seen in a while.

Citrin's Zion Icarus
Nice greeblie vibe coming from it. I love the use of the grappeling hook on the engine.

B-Shelf user greyfang's Bootlegger By far, my favorite of the bunch. Check it out, the profile reminds me a great deal of Dan J's Venom. And the shapes and use of color is well done. I want to build something like this now. It even has a checkerboard pattern up top. What's not to love? ;-)

Of Streampunk and Alt. History

Well what a delightful load of ice Moher Nature decided to drop on us this weekend. I'm actually not complaining. For, sledding, this stuff is da bomb. Just beware of really big hills. You're likly to loose an arm.
So there are two MOCs I wantedd to point out, and blabber about today.
The first is jonesy's steam-powered tank.
An excellent example of steampunky goddness.
The main thing I admire on this is the way everything falls together. It has a flow so to speak. Each piece in it's place.
And the setting he gives us, crushing a field of pink flowers? it's enough to make one weep for joy. Not that flower crushing is a good thing. It's just sort of that it repesents wither how much death is really wrapped up in this chunk of metal, or how twisted jonesy really is. (personally, I'll opt for the latter)
Very well done.

The second MOC is a nice little plane made by CSF member Porschecm2.
The plane it's self could never get off the ground with just the propellers. It looks way to heavt and has uh...no wings. But. It looks cool. If you're willing to throw aside any problems with the whole fyling thing, it rocks pretty hard. I like the engine pods in particular. Oh, and it's red. So you know it's good.

Talking Loud and Saying Nothing

Well, it's been a fun weekend. My bestest best friend spent the weekend at my house, and we got to hike around in th woods, and build a little log cabin.

And in the past week or so, some amzing MOCs have surfaced.

Orange is always fun to see when used right. And Big X's latest MOC uses it right.
The scale is the first thing you notice. Most fighters are much smaller, to the point of being way to small to fit all the rewuired equipment.
The color scheme is nice, although truth be told I'm a bit miffed at the old dk grey used. It works to a point I suppose. The greebs are the best part. The engine is just short of total h0tness. The intakes on the side, the binoculars set into the hull, and the cannons are all excellent.

Next, we bring you a sweet little serving of goodness, courtesy pf Andrew Horvatits. Nice shape, and decent detail. Although aparently, it has no interior. Pretty nice.

Papa's Got A Brand New Bag

This post will pretty much just be a RLOSIDWTTA, and a bit of rambling.
Long time MOC builder, and first time Snoiklee Dan Sibley built a pretty nice mech
Paul Brasington, who we all no and some of us love, built a truly artfulAPC I really gotta keep up with his work. He builds some freakish awesome stuff.
What Snoikle post would be complete without an izzo MOC?
Lime green r0cks so hard. Damn, I need more of it.
Here's one that I like especially. The color scheme would be hard to pull off the right way. All black with yellow and white missiles/highlights.
I must admit to be scared by the crotch gun however.

And I dunno how old this one is, but I find it to be freakishly sweet. I have to try that DA torso with red arms and legs now :-o.

And in the non-lego world (yes, there is a world outside of LEGO) I got to see the moive Back to the Future.
Ah, such an awesome movie. I gotta see the next two now. I also am on assignment from my mom to watch at least the first Rocky movie. Before seeing the new one.

Adrian Drake is probably best known around lego websies as "the guy who built that big SHIP"

He comes around again with a mind numbing awesome SHIP. This time an "Alt. History" airship.
The Thomas E. Dewey.
I could spend the next two hours pointing out all the amazing detail. Like the huge rotors, the sweet gun truuets and the awesome hangar bay. But instead I'll pick several things that I love.

One: the entire interior. So much detail. I don't have time to browse every picture there, but I can tell it's sweet.

Two: the bridge. Some of those tiles look a little too modern for this thing, but it works never the less.

Three: The pop-up net to slow down incoming aircraft. It recedes into the floor and everything!

Four: The engine room. A crazy amount of detail and greebles. Beautiful.

Five: The underside propellers. I missed seeing those in the WIP shots. Very cool.

Six: the stripes in the color scheme. It would be incredibly dull without really.

I also love the observation deck.

Seasons Greetings everybody. I wanted to be cool and make a greetings picture like some other bloggers are doing, but this computer has no real image editing software, and we all know about my Mac. So without further ado: Happy Holidays, may you enjoy whatever holiday you choose to celebrate.

well, I am.
Peter Reid (Legoloverman on B-shelf) is the living proof that lego bots can be freaking awesome. And his backgrounds for the bots are always well liked. And now he gives us this tasty morsel.
It
reminds me a great deal of Mark Stafford's Mantis guship.
I love old dk gray. It's the color I miss the most out of all that changed.
This is an excellent example of greebling done right. They add to the ship, they look functional, and they aren't over-used.
The nose is my favotir part, it's so cool looking. And the Exo-Force sticker adds a certain touch to the craft. Very well done.

And alhough I don't usually blog SW MOCs. I liked this one enough to add it to my list.
Such a good example of what SW models could be. instead of say, this.
Nice use of tiles that came with the set, and the color is spot-on.

Now I'm not by any means a big fan of trains, but these were so nice I had to put

Returning to that christmas theme we were talking about this is a nice one.

Gosh, I hope fellow blogger Brenden is having fun clogging up B-Shelf with his old MOC folders. (I do understand, I've been trying to rearrange my folder s well) my frustration is aimed more at Brickshelf and it's uh..how do we put this? Lameness. Of course, it's free, so I won't complain.

First, we have this hay cart. Which uses those lever handles in a very original way.

Then, we go to this really cool Hover tank. My favorite part is probably the way those hatchs are used to get a striped effect.

Yes, izzo is a rather common Snoiklee (Snoikled person, Snoiklette, Snoiklababa doo?)
But this
mech was fun enough to get mentioned.
As for the rest of the new mechs he's putting out, I'd recomend several hours to browse his entire folder and revel in the splenor.

Speaking of mechs, I had to point this beauty out.\
It's a mech of Soren's with twist of orange.

And this was just way to cool not to point out. Blue, claws, and chrome wrapped into one. <3
That, and it has wheels.

Builder Mike Yoder decided that CSF is far to awesome to leave. And LEGO is way to much fun to give up.
So he's back to building.
Awesome shapes. Boxes seem to have been banished from his style.
Which, is a good thing. I also love that red stripe in the middle. Perfect touch of color.

And here's something that reminds me of Yoder's missile shuttle.
I love the stripes on the side, and the engines are pure sweetness.
The turret up top is pretty tight as well.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Which is kinda what it feels like right now. I've been having moments where life just feels awesome. And times where it feels like dog crud. *sigh* I suppose that's pretty much normal for a teenager.

I suppose we want to talk about LEGO today dont we? I guess so.
I really like this one from Y-Bros-K (aka Big Daddy aka Nelson Yrizarry)
It just feels good. Y'know? the colors, the shape, and the look. It's tight to the extreme.

And here's a decent mecha
from B-Shelf user nnenn. The reason I pointed this out is the weapons. I didn't realize they're lego at first.
From the seperate pic, they appeared to be from an action figure or something.

Jerac's Samson is worth mentioning. I always love the way he makes red turn out in photos. People at CSF say it looks like the loader from Aliens. Which, I suppose, is true. I like it as it's own MOC however.

How cool is this? Scary spooky kinda.

On a humorus note, check out this folder. I don't know who made the faux Times, but it gave me a laugh. Something I need lots of these days. I've always been a fan of the subthemes. Lots of folks are against them, but it's little stuff like this that makes them fun.

B-shelf user Ara built a very nice corvette recently. Therefor, I blogged it.
First of all, it's red. in large amounts, red is awesome.
Second, it sports some beautiful details.
The way slopes, tiles, and studs are used together works well, giving the illusion, if not the effect, of a very rounded shape.
The engine section is the best part. And while the thrusters themselves aren't much to write home about, the area around them is tight to the tenth.
The interior is pretty nice, the floors aren't smooth, as with a lot of modern SHIPS. Which I like. Studs r00l.
And in case you couldn't guess, it's inspired by Adrian Drake's Bloodmoon. Very cool.

On a side note, there are a couple things I've been considering doing.
1: A "Best of 2006" series. MOCs that I really,really, liked that came up this year,
2: A "All Time Favorite MOCs" series. My all time favorites.
3: A voter based Best of 2006. Where you pick your favorite from a bunch that I'd pick.
Dunno, just some ideas I was kicking around.

So way back when, Nick Dean built a SHIP. Then he didn't take pictures. Then everyone rioted. Well, at least several folks were disapointed. So now he gives us pictures.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls (the MIB are back to protect the world) I give you the CMC-47 Kestrel!

I mostly love this for A) the shape. Sleek and streamlined, but with nice angles and corners. And B) the weapons. That turret up front is h0t. Also worth mention is Nick's new blog. Review'd. Hasn't been around long and he already has bashed SS, reveiwed the new Bond movie, and posted a MOC. Looks like a helthy start. It's also a trend now. Lukas started Builder's Block only to lose interest. Then v2 came along and he's going strong. Then I made Dez's Lego Blog, or something like that. And it failed. But of course, that one night, setbot uttered the imortal word "Snoikle" and I was inspired. Seven months and still running strong. Nick had BrickNick. But that never really took off. Review'd shows promise. The trick has been I think, to not just foucs on LEGO. We all post thoughts on music, games, cool websites, our lives in general, and occasionally plain 'ole bullcrap. But anyway, check out his SHIP, leave comments, start your own fanboy blog, start the first Snoikle fan-club, whatever.

OMFG. It's been three whole days since I Snoikled! So my life has been on a up-n-down spree lately. On the upside, I finally got a computer I can play NFS Most Wanted on. Awesomeness.

Last night jonesy said he was writing a post for his blog. Whether you believe that is up to you. However, in honor of this rare and lusterious event, I said I'd dedicate my next post to him.

There's several nice things I wanted to bring to your attention.
Such as this bus by a builder I almost had forgotten about. MasahiroYanagi.
He has some of the coolest MOCs ever.
Anyway, the reason I love this thing should be obvious. if not, go [insert jonesy/Soren insult here]

B-Shelf user Sajuuk (goes by the same name on CSF) first proved himself to be one of those troublesome newbies. He made nonsense posts, insulted a few poeple, mutated the laws of physics, ect.ect.
He's starting to fit in now. he's calmed down a bit and took some better pics of a fairly decent fighter.
It's not really all that amazing, but the shapes are nice, the details stand out and the size if farr from your standard size fighter.
I see this guy building some pretty cool stuff in the future.

The reason I had to blog was this castle.
So very cool. It's almost enough to make me break down and order enough grey to build castle again.

Ah yes, Soren's new mech. My main reason for loving it is the sheer amount of dk gray. God, how i miss that color.

Anything I missed? Didn't think so. If there was, Brenden, Tom, Lukas or Linus will get it I'm sure. ;-)

Ah, another day, some more MOCs, another B-day. This time it's my little sister. She turned 13, amking all three of us teenagers. (poor mom) But anyway, we shall now begin what I like to call blogging.

Now you all remember Tim Gould. Of course you do. I blogged him last time. I used to think I had more free time than any of the active members of CSF. And yet, I haven't build in over a week, and he's putting out MOCs left and right. But his Pod was just way to much fun to pass up.
It reminds me a great deal of Soren's Ball. Yet there's enough difference that it's not a rip-off. The colors are this thing's main attraction. White, orange, black and trans light blue all come into play, with stunning results.
Of course, the main reason I blogged it was the secondary color.
Tim mentioned on CSF that he needs a dark background for such MOCs. Which is true.

Here's something Gil pointed out this morning. He thinks it looks like my stuff. Which, is also true.
I have to admit to liking it. I wish the owner had taken better pictures but then, black is a PITA to photograph.

izzo builds cool stuff on a regular basis, therefor, blogging his stuff just seems natural.

Oh look, Moko built again. And being the good little blogger that I am, I had to blog it. HIs Walker mech is really tight.
It just flows together. The shape aren't as seperate as a lot of mechs,
I love the use of car fenders around the arm, and the cheese slopes as toes.
It shares a lot of the same design elements as his other mechs, but I think this one may be my favorite. Clean, tight, and actually quite poerful looking, this is definatly one of my favorite mechs yet.

And B-Shelf user BJ-123456 built a nice little mech
The weapons are the cool part really, I'm not so impressed by the rest of it. Needs another color for some highlights.

Lesse..... Ah yes, Moko also built this cute little flying machine thingy.
It's cool cause it look like it really could fly. Like helicoptor without the shell around the workings and the comfy seats. ;-)

And, god damn. What is this man's problem? He built this cool walker mech. I love the gun on the back. The legs look like they could stand to be beefed up some though.

Tim Gould returns to Snoikle with this little mech (what the hey? I wasn't planning on blogging a bunch of mechs today)
It's nice enough in it's own right. Black and tan work well together for once. The legs are nice and heavy set, makes it look like it could just kinda step on soilders.
Now I don't know if Tim always could build like this or if he's improved in leaps and bounds over the past year. Cause he's building some crazy cool stuff compared to the MOCs he put out at first.

I was planning on blogging some space ships this time around. Turns out there isn't really anything out there. Ah well, maybe next time.

Horvy returns to Snoikle with an update on an old MOC. Just some beautiful work on this little beaut.

Also blog worthy is Peter Reid's new Blacktron racer.
I don't claim to love the old space lines. I never got to play with one when I was young. (mostly my fault, I was a castle kid)
But I like this for different reasons. The shape is unusaul, the detailk nice. One thing that I noticed was the one lone stud on the tip of the wings. For some reason I like it. Unfortunatly we get no pics of the aft. So I can't really tell how the exhaust vents or headlights or whatever they are look. But overall, it's pretty cool.

I've been on a Temptations kick lately. My favorite of their songs include "My Girl" "Ain't Too Proud To Beg" and "Suagr Pie Honey Bunch"
I blame my dad for my love of said group. He has a bunch of their CDs.

On another Black History related note, If you haven't watched the movie Raisin in the Sun, you should. I mean it, go rent, buy, borrow or steal it. Whatever has to be done. Just watch it.

And now, I go to build, sort, and rearrange my room.

And I'm starting to think the blogging world has come to a grinding halt.
Lukas is the only one who's updated, and even that wasn't about recent MOCs.

Man, last night I was sick. I felt like my back was broken, my head was gonna explode, and I was gonna throw-up. All at the same time. I think it may have just been exhaustion.
But anyway, I'm feeling much better this morning, and ready too jump back into blogging.
It's one heck of a day today. Life as it is is progressing as "usual" but it's super awesomely foggy outside. Most of it's burning off by now, but here's a pic too show you what it was like.
Ever had your foot fall asleep while you were blogging? didn't think so.

We start things off with izzo's Industrial-09. A very nice robot/mech. What I love about izzo's work is how clean everything always feels. I think it's partially the lighting and the photography.
I like the "eyes" on this. Half stud offsets work rather well. The wheels are other cool aspect of it. The big un in back counter-balances the four little up front nicely. The arms are pretty cool too.
It makes you wonder really, who izzo is.

Fellow blogger Brenden built a micorscale cruiser that I liked enough to post again today.
The colors are nothing new. I don't think he has any colors aside from white red gray and black.
But I love the shape. The shape around the engine section is especially nice.

It's his fault I blog so many mechs these days. But I wanted to point out this little beaut from B-Shelf user sugegasa. The guns are pretty cool and I like the use of those slopes for feet. Pretty nice little mech.

And hey look, Kyle Vrieze built another mech. Damn the man. This was gonna be a simple post.
Inspired by the game "Chrome Hounds" (the same game that inspired Nick's Longbow) this thing is so freaking awesome. I haven't had time to browse all the pics, but I can tell you right now my three favorite things about it. Colors, treads, gatling gun.

Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds

From the builder of the Enola Gray, the Espoir de Lyons and one of my all time favorite fighters, the Rapier.
Comes another sweet little fighter, the Lightning. (awesome name) It's wonderfully swooshable, beautifully detailed, and and in general, just plain cool.
I like the the nose in particular. Those "cheese slopes" are proving more and more useful all the time.
Another thing I like is the cannon. Looks slightly leathal.
The lightning bolts on the wings are sweet. Just the right touch of color. (un-color maybe?)
Okay, I've raved about this thing long enough. On to something else.

Another yellow ship popped up over the past few days.
Mike Yoder returns as the "King of Micro" with his Destroyer class frigate. Mike is in a horrific situation at the moment.
He and his girlfriend moved away from their old city or something (no, that's not the worst part) and he has a limted amount of LEGO right now. Off-hand, I'd say he's doing pretty well with them.
Detail is hard to do on micro scale ships, but he pulls it off pretty well.
I love the bridge, and numerous weapons scattered across the ship. Nice work there.

Today we start our blogging with a totally awesome little ship from FBTB member Fox Primus. The Habrok. Named after a hawk in Norse mytholegy.
My favorite part is defenitly the rusty-beat-up look it has. Right out of the SW universe.
The nose has a nice swooshy feeling, kinda out of place with parts of the ship, but it works.
I like the engine a great deal. The black on the back is nice, and the grey slope on the front work oh-so-well. I might have liked it better with a giant grill on the front though. I think would've been tight.
And of course, the fact that it's asymetrical is awesome.

Next we have Kyle Vrieze's latest "MOCs" they're both designs he ripped off from other builders. They work very well however.

I really like this wheeled tank/mech thingy that B-Shelf user pratt built. It's simple, but I see a lot of work put into it. Nice.
My only real nit is the studs showing on the back of the legs/wheel pods. They would probably look better tiled.

I also fell in love with the song "The Saints Are Coming" over the weekend. At first I thought it sucked. Now I think it's cool.

Linus Bohman built an awesome little ship (again) HisGas Mask uses lots of shapes and greebles an-0o0 is that the Dulkes of Hazzard?? Ok, commercial break. The beautiful blend of treads and tires is amazing. The use of bley is barely noticable. Oh noes! are they gonna get awway from Roscoe? of course they are. Where's Daisy anyway? Oh. Right. Back to the reveiw. Orange is such a nice color. w00t! there's Daisy. Gosh, I get distracted easly don't I? So anyway. The nose is nicely done. Those radars dishes add something to the MOC. Another cool thing is the use of two oranges. Cool little touch. I can't get over the way those treads create shapes. Uber sweet. And now, I must go ogle Dai....I mean watch the Dukes of Hazzard.

So much cool stuff has been posted in the past week.
First we have some MOCs (via Brother's Brick)
Dunechaser's H.M.A.S. Fearless.
Beautiful craft. The detail he put into it is awesome. Especially the tri-propeller, the gun made of rifles, and the gatling gun on the underside.
There's two other little craft that are equally cool. Take a gander

Soren's Gravity Such a cool mech. Of course, that's what Soren does best. Checkout the wheel pieces used in the arms, legs and pelvis. The head is also cool Very nice.

I don't know much about Gundam, but I know enough about LEGO to say this little guy is awesome. Peter Reid built a Crusader which features a sweet head, nice leg design, and a sweet lookin' rifle.

Spacey Floating Rock

Nelson Yrizarry, AKA Big Daddy, built a really cool floating rock. Such an awesome MOC. Combining the fun of floating rocks with the goodness that we like to call space.
Some people at CSF wondered how the polar bears that live there survive. Without food, it would be rather dificult.I like the idea of bears that send distress calls out, lure ships in close enough, and somehow have them crash on the rock. Then they just eat the pilots and they're good to go for a few more days.
But anyway, it's a fun MOC, from the canopy stuck in the top of the berg, to the black 1x1s used for ash or whatnot.
Very nice Mr.Yrizarry.

Well, I'm still around. I've just been busy lately (goshdarn life) So anyway, a quick update for y'all.

Ley Ward's awesome bannabot is worth mention.

A cool mech type thingie by B-Shelf user squieu. It's so freaking awesome, it makes me want to go build someething dk gray and white. Awesome. Of course, most mechs from japanese builders are. But we've been over that haven't we?

duh-duh-duh-duh..... *Hawk flips through his Big Book Of Blogging.

There was a big ole airship at NWBC apparently. Dunechaser has some pics in his Flickr photostream. Also, you can browse through abunch of other pics from NWBC, by searching Flickr for nwbc2006. Some awesome stuff there.

Hooked On A Feeling

Moko is a favorite among LEGO bloggers. Most likely due to the fact that he builds awesome stuff. His mechs are the stuff dreams are made of. (At least, if you're a Lego freak) I blogged his orange mech a couple weeks ago. So I like this new one from him. His Walker Mech is uber cool. The angles and shapes make it stand out from the dozens of other mechs that are posted every week. The feet are my favorite part oddly enough. (and no, I don't have a foot-fetish) They're very nicely done, I imagine they give this one some much needed stability. The gray tank strapped on the back adds the perfect amount of color, or non-color to it. I love those 3x3(?) radar dishes. I only have three in gray sadly. I'm am wondering how he managed to make that tank. technic half pin seems the only feasabile way to do it, and even that seems like it'd be un-stable. Maybe it IS unstable for that matter. The yellow and black warning tiles are used fairly well to add more color here. Details such as the technic half pin above the 1x1 round just make this a cool mech. Hmm.... I think I'll try my hand at a mech.

Oh yeah, there's more. Pssht, I knew that.
Nick Dean returns to Snoikle with his cargo carrier truck. The use of that silly cockpit piece is the driving force behind this MOC. It's use here is next to genuis. Even Soren said it's an cool MOC. We keep telling Nick to make the cargo section bigger. (I wanna see a 18-wheeler sized one of these) The rest of the truck is nice, the hover pad thingies are pretty cool.

Let's see...what else.... bshelf user izzo proves he's better than you with yet another mech.

Bram built a beautiful concept car. And then he took pictures. And then he posted them. And then I saw them. And then I almost fainted.
Well, no, I didn't. But I might have. The Lime green is the awesomest part of this MOC. I love lime green.
The canopy is well here, looks very sporty. I also like the spoiler. Ah, three wheeled, dual exhaust, black and shiny super cars. Gotta love 'em.

Nelson Yrizarry (Y-Bros-K on BrickShelf) has built some awesome MOCs in the past. His PCS specter, Orge and Jin-Du fighter are all outstanding. But this may be one of his best works yet. The waterfall coming over the side is a concept I actually worked into a version of my ever changing FR. He of course, does it much nicer than I did. The bamboo adds a certain mystical feel to the MOC, dunno, it just feels cool. The little computer room is reminiscent of Ryan Wood's Shroom Rock. The more I browse through this folder, the deeper in love I fall with it. *sigh* I must now redo parts of my FR.

He also built a sweet little sailcraft to transport the owner of the FR around. Excellent use of the dino fin as a sail, and the coffin piece as the hull. This guy never ceases to amaze me.

Linky BShelf user truedimensions built a cool micro-scale spaceship. The Leonov from the movie 2010 - The Year We Make Contact. Nice shapes and details on this. It looks so much like something NASA might build, although not, I'll guess, in the year 2010. So many angles are present. It keeps the ship from getting boring. The colors could use some tightening up, and the tiles get a kinda random pattern along the hull. Of course, I've built things suffering the same thing. And on we go...

Fellow blogger Lukas pointed this out as one of the things to be blogged on his blog. (yay blogs!) I like it. It conveys a certain sense of "OMFG WTF IS THAT?!?!" Nice use of those teeth pieces. Linky

Mind-blowing awesome MOCs are a trademark of Mark Stafford I think. Cause this is surely a mind-blowing MOC.
The first thing you notice is the size, this thing is gianormous! (before you ask, no, it's not a word) The level of activity is amazing. Monsters bursting through the ground, people running in terror, Dr. Who watching ect. ect. Among my favorite details are the jeep with the gunner, the Doctor with the Taris (sp?) and the entrance to the mine shaft it's self. Beautiful work on the surrounding desert as well. Boulders and brush are abundant, the cliff is fairly passable. (Were it all dk gray he'd get bonus points) And there's the undead portion as well. Undead Native Americans coming to stop the explorers from disturbing the monsters. A little late methinks. The monsters deserve a note of appreciation, thee green one is my favorite. They both look so freaking scary! The big dk blue(?) one kinda looks like a Sarlaac. I would very much hate to one of those mercenaries.Eaten by a huge monster with fifty-bazillion teeth. *shudder* The plane and trucks are cool as well. Check out the detail he puts on just one of these things. So in conclusion, Mark proves he can build stuff no other mortal can come close to. Good job MArk, good job!

But it is a cool little fighter, the color blocking is what grabs me on this one. Dk red is (as I've said before) one of my favorite colors. The black and white work well with it. The cockpit is kinda blocky, I'd like it more with a smoother canopy. It gets kinda choppy around the nose, but that's a little nit. I also like the stand, a nice touch for a non-real bricks MOC. I know, I know, it's been a while. I was out at a farm in the middle of kansas helping clear up storm damage. (a barn to be specific) I got to beat things with hammers and stuff. Great fun. Where was I? Oh yeah, laygoes.

Second up, we have Nick Dean's Longbow Anti-Mech Sniper. I love the treads on this baby. Treads make everything better. The guns are the second thing I like. Perfectly positioned I think. It also has a decent color scheme.

Coming in third on our Snoikle-Catch-Up Series is a cool little armored thingy. Looks perfect for supressing riots that get out of hand. Or for just running to the grocery store for some mango juice. I live the number on top. It adds to the feel of the vehicle. The perfect blend of tiled and studs is lovely. And the dk gray just seems cool right there. The Wheels are yet another nice feature. I think Soren may have used them first, but that means little, as Soren seems to have done everything first.
Also, I'm pretty sure this intended to be an Iron Reich truck. If so, it really does the trick. I may have to build something like this soon.

Kevoh (aka, Kevin Blocksidge) has built two little things (did I say little? silly me) that I found blog worthy.

The first one is a floating rock village. Which features some sweet details. The bridges, three in all, are among my favorite. The stone bridge on the big towerish building is cool. As is the hobo sitting underneath it. Also, the guy sitting fishing on a smaller rock. That's just awesome. There are also several small glider/helicoptor/things dotting the layout. The flags are a nice touch, I'm guessing that means the rocks always float in the same spot? The schoolhouse (at least, I think it's a schoolhouse) is a wonderful example of a non-boring building. Something I'll have to work on. So yeah, that awesome and all.

The second thing is a baloon. As exciting as that sounds, it really is cool. Dk red, as I may have mentioned before, is a wonderful color. So pretty.....*ahem* scuse me. Anyway, I like the wings a bunch, studs r00l. It's not quite as cool as the village. but I'd kill to be able to build like that. ;-) Well done Kevin, well done.

It's Been Weird Lately

Lately, I've noticed the quality of my posts is slipping. I'm not spending the time writing good MOC reviews. I think it was in a effort to make Snoikle popular, I've been posting a lot. However, quality over quantity is much in this case. I'm going to possibly cut back on the posting. And spend more time on atually thinking out what I like about an MOC. K, now that that's out of the way, onto the MOCs.

Dunechaser, the imfamous blogger, minifig expert and...um....well, I'm sure he's something else. Built a little vignette. His description is "Jizou statues are representations of the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva in Japanese Buddhism. Guardians of children and travelers, Jizou line roads and mountain paths throughout the country. "
A little over my head in places, but I get the meaning.
This may actually make me go and do some research. (dangit, when even LEGO becomes educational what's left?) I'm loving the bamboo. Probably just cause I've always loved bamboo forests.
So anyway, go look at his MOC, research what's behin it, and have a 2 page report on my desk by thursday ;-)

Aaaannndd, let's see..........what else is out there......Ah yes, a cute little truck made by Andrew Horvatis(sp?) for the Young Spacer's Flickr Group First Blind Group MOC Study. *Hawkeye stops to catch his breath* I love this boy's work. As always it has excellent color cordination, and the detail is superb. Those wheels are awesome. I had the exact same idea a couple weeks ago. If only I had posted first *I* would be the genuis. Ah well. *sigh*

#1 I hear this is a bounty hunter ship, does that mean it's set in the SW
universe?

No, it's not in any specific universe. I wanted to do something different than a fighter, which is what I usually end up building. This seemed like a good middleground between a fighter and a SHIP.

#2 Did you have any inspiration for this ship?

This is the concept I started with: http://www.classic-space.com/plugins/autogallery/autogallery.php?show=SmallShips%2Fmain-4.jpeg . I never follow concept art to the letter, but use it for a general shape for me to begin with. I try to make the final design my own.

#3 How long did this take to build?

Between being lazy and frustrated with it, I built it over the period of a month or so.

#4 The ship has a really cool armored feel, were you going for something
like that?

Yeah, somewhat. It's meant to be a small freighter that was converted to a bounty hunter's ship—so hopefully it looks somewhat industrial and utilitarian. And hopefully some of the parts look after-market, since it's a converted ship.

#5 The spoiler on back, does it represent the modifications Bounty Hunters
make to their ships? like today's tuner?

I didn't consider that when building. It was originally going to be a ship cerebruminc modified for their hired hunter. But ci is a more high-end industry builder like Ferrari or Boeing—they would likely design something much more white and awesome from scratch. So I'm going to say yes, it is like today's tuner, because I think that's a great idea.

Actually, the spoiler is a throwback to Classic Space. I usually used something like it on my ships when I was a kid. It was more fun this way.

I'm glad it's reminiscent of Classic Space—that was partly my intention. I tried to keep the look old school by mixing old and new construction techniques. I have an idea for my next ship that will be somewhat old school as well.

I mostly wanted to have fun building something with actual play value instead of struggling to keep everything studless. I fall into that trap sometimes—Paul Baulch's comment on my SS-A Paladin has always stuck, "Maybe there's such a thing as too much SNOT?" SNOT is a great tool, but technique for technique's sake is hackery.

#7 Is there a reason you do those semi-cool photochop pictures?

Heh, just don't ask Gil Shaw if I did or not. It was fun to build something different. But I tend to get frustrated with my builds if they drag too long. This one dragged too long. By the time Fest rolled around I hated it.

I've browsed it a couple times. For most things I like to get my news from blogs rather than "objective" sources. It's an interesting idea to get some builder comments along with their mocs.

Beautiful Day

The tiltle is actually fairly mis-leading. It's not very beautiful today at all. It's a rainy-cloudy-gloomy sort of day. Which i guess could be beautiful to some people. Anyway, bring on the clowns........

First up, a cool little police hover-car by B-Shelf user atamacher. It's pretty nice. The shape and detail are good. The colors are a bit splotchy. They could use some tightening up. I'm digging the back compartment, I can just imagine the officer saying "watch your head" as he crams them in there. The siren and tail light arrangments look good. seven out of ten stars to this one.

Secondly, a SHIP I should have blogged when it first came out a couple days ago. Biggest microscale ship we've seen since Paul's Lance of Athena. Nice shapes and detailing on this, plus it uses orange, which is an instant plus in my book.

Third up to bat, my CS Chat friend Jaster (AKA Matt) built a floating rock which he wanted me to Snoikle. (the sign of a good blog?) It's a pretty decent MOc. One thing other people have pointed out, is that the rock looks too small to hold the house. I don't really care that much. It's all fantasy anyway. The dock is a nice touch. Like a garage for your baloon thingy (which was also Snoikled)

I don't think I've ever Snoikled any of Moko's work. It's actually pretty amazing. Cause he builds awesome stuff very often. Like this here orange mech. The color is wonderful, but you have to know how to use it. The ankels and lower arms are my favorite part of this thing. And the drill. Chrome, when used right is a instant weiner. *Eherm* that is, winner. Beautiful combonation of techie bits and ornjy goodness.

In Which Hawk Returns to His First Love.

I may build space. And blog space. And like space. But my first theme I liked was castle. So anyway, B-Shelf user Dandin built a diorama of a small keep and the surronding foliage. I'm liking the mixed gray used here. It adds to the "built of stone look" The detail really makes this stand out. The inside is also pretty cool. Sporting a kitchen, a barracks, (I think) a cellar, armory, bedroom and more. It also folds out for asy acess. A cool trick I'll use if I ever build castle again. There's a couple different animals around, including some sheep, a couple ducks, and a cow. (actually, I think that's all the animals.) I don't really no much about blogging castle, but I had to point this one out. Pretty cool.

Hidden Weapons Freighter Shuttle Thingy

To quote....myself. "Oh my. I think I'm in love" A very, very, very, cool little shuttle. The color scheme sets the pace for this excellent vessle. The stripes work beautifully. It's all purty.

The second cool feature is the weapons. If you first look at it you'll say "what weapons?" Ah, I say. The hidden weapons that pop out all over the ship.
It appears that this little shuttle is really a gunboat! missiles, missiles,and more cannons. Oh so, loverly this ship is. Very cool.

What's this you say? Another post, two seconds after his last one? Yeah, I'll admit. I should have checked CSF MOC forum before blogging Linus's ship. I could have donee one big Multiple MOC post. But....I didn't. So anyway, here are several MOCs I felt deserved to be Snoikled.

A awesome litte house on a FR. It has a, dare I say, magical feel to it. I love the little boat that goes with it. Superb.
Second, Teh EBKA Nadezhda Battlecruiser. An awesome space submarine if there ever was one. Detail is amazingly abundant for a ship that looks smooth at first glance. The weapons are nice, perfect EB look. And the interior. That's what makes it stand out. Take the time to look through all the pics and marvel at all the details he crammed in there. Andof course, the fact that it's red doesn't hurt it a bit. ;-)

w00t. Linus Bohman officially takes back first place with his third Snoikled MOC. A funny little "Pimped Ship" for the Floating Head Eddie. Make sure to read the storyt behind this one on MOCpages. The ship it's self is pretty cool. A concept Linus had worked on before comes into play in making this one. I have to admit to be confoozeled to what the engines are. Intakes in the front thrusters in back? So anyway, I just had to blog this Linus could be in first place again. In the immortal words of Bug Bunny "Ain't I a stinkah?"

Or it should at least. I'm a little late on this but seeing as Tom McDonald is the man who is partly responsible for the creation of Snoikle, I figured I better blog his latest MOC. First off, it's orange. Secondly it has a cool shape, not quite conforming to standard shapes. The dk gray and white is worked in beautifully. And the way all the minifigs are crammed inside is pretty neat. The engines are my only nit. Actually kinda lame IMHO. But that's just me. Now, this would be a longer post, ranting on about how cool this sucker is, but It's not even 8:00 yet. So I'm not quite at the top of my Snoikling snoikleness.

I can't belive I've never snoikled any of Brenden Wilson's work. The lad's a excellent builder. He builds Micro-scale and fighters with similar.....um....finesse? beauty? goodness? I'm not so hot on the whole "think up the right word" thing today. But anyway. I really like his latest MOC (or it wouldn't be here, would it?) The shape is nice. Following in the footsteps of his Verasio bomber. It sports a nifty wing design, some awesome greeblies, and a cool little decal on the side. And since I'm busy, the rest you'll have to find out for yourself.:-)

That's right. I saw this and knew instanly that it must be Snoikled. I love love love this one. The colors are the best part. Dk gray, white and (w00t!) dk red. A winning combonation to say the least. The weapons are nice, blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.......And oh yeah, the cockpit. A+ for this one. So now we have a funky four-way-tie-that's-losing-it's-fun. So one of youse guys go build something cool. Or at least Snoikle worthy! ;-)

We now have a three-way tie for first place. Turkguy19 has built a sweet little fighter craft thing-a-mabobber. The colors are the best part. (I'm definetly a red addict) nice smooth, clean feel to this one. The weapons are tight. The fin is another thingI like. Fins can add to a MOC when used right. This one most certainly does. The shape when viewed from the front is probably my favorite thing about this. So cool. I'm not gonna spend a hour going on about it. I'll just let YOU decide how cool it is.

I didn't want to. I'm busy and tired and underfed. But I had to anyway. MArk Stafford's R-Wing is the awesomest entry in this contest that I've seen. And believe me, I've seen a lot. Ok, so this thing has an awesome shape. (the whole 'R' thing pretty much makes that a given) the detail is great, the *feel* of the ship is great. It feels like one of Jon Palmer's ships. And the cherry on top, it's onrj. I love orange. It's to die for in this quantity. Whoops, this Marks mark's err marks Mark's second Snoikled MOC. Putting the postion of first place on the Snoikle-Meter in a tie. One of you *two better build something awesome so I can blog it. ;-)

This is such an awesome MOC. I love 3vil. And I love Legohaulic's work. So when I saw that he built 3vil I nearly flipped. The detail is amazing on this beauty. Lots of guns. Lots and lots of guns. Greeblies look sweet and the skull is by far, the best I've ever seen. A skull with a mohawk smokinga cig. Awesome. And you know, I really don't need to write about how cool this is. It pretty much speaks for itself.

Mike Yoder is another builder whos talent I wish I had. His Altair ships are nothing short of sweet. And he seems to have an awesome style no matter what he's building. (although the ship he's working on now seems to vary from his usual....excellence) But anyway, this little gem is awesome. I know from first hand experience how hard making a futuristic car can be. He pulls it off nicely. The way it folds out is pretty cool. And the colors, the colors are the best part. Mike loves his Exo-Force stickers, and they work beautifully here. I want to build a little army of these babies. Blah blah blah and so on. So there you have it yet again, Snoikle (with the help of that guy who built it) brings you a little transport worthy of {insert obscure Sci-Fi reference here}

From the man who gave us the Aggressor, the Iron Rhino, and the Spartan vs. Wolverine series, comes the latest breathtaking MOC. Critics agree "two thumbs up!" Kyle Vreize, take a bow.

Where does one start on a ship like this? It's the one of the awesomest space MOCs I've seen since the Asmodeus came along. The amount of detail is the best part.
Lots of shape, color, and weapons. Oh Boy, the weapons! guns that look spacey but not corny or oversized. The turret up front (rail-gun?) is sweetness itself.
And the missiles. Vreize is a stronge advocate of missiles.
The engines are another stronge point. Wheels? yes. Cool? hellz yes.
On the Aggressor, he had a idea about "Graviton Drive" or somesuch. I'm thinking he doing the same here. Beautiful.
This ship takes strongly after the Aggressor. This Snoikler is going to guess it's based on the same idea/inspiration. I just can't get over how cool it is. Well done Kyle.

Linus Bohman reaches first place in the Snoikle-Meter. Having been Snoikled more times than anyone else. So anyway, his latest ship really is awesome. It's yet another ship that you first look at and think "ah, micro!" and then you keep clicking pics and discover "gasp! It ISN'T micro!" The colors are what really drew me too this craft, the blend of red, gray, white and black is awesome. The grabs are another strong point. Beautifully executed. The engine it'self is also sweet. This guy has really grown as a builder since he first came to CSF. (oh yes, I credit CSF for all of this ;-) ) Here's looking at you Linus!

Chris Giddens. Lego Ambassador, CSF Admin. Uber-geek (Sshhhhh, don't tell him I said so) And of course, the guy who builds ships like the Vanguard, Fazoom-O-Craft, and S.L.A.M. He also built this rather stylish blue vessel (that's right, I said blue. Trying to break this Red craze I'm on) It sports some awesome weaponery, beautifully thought out shape and details, The cockpit is nicely done using three different pieces to make one full window. And the engines, although they ARE wheels. They don't look like wheels stuck on a spaceship. They actually look like engines. And of course, my fav-o-rite part......chrome. I'm a sucker for chrome. Beautiful ship Chris, keep up the mind-blowing-jaw-dropping-butt-kicking good work!

Mini Space Cruiser

B-Shelf user 'Tornado' built this cute little spaceship. What's so cute about the little ship? I don't know.Maybe it's the shape, kinda back to the futurish. Maybe it's just cause it's red. I don't know. The whole craft uses a lot of SNOT, on the wings and tail mostly. The underside is bare, but that's the only nit I see with this ship.

First Mulitiple MOC Post.

First off we have the first non-space MOC I've blogged. A cool little model of a camera by B-Shelf user arvo. I'm not sure what's so cool about it. It just struck me as a nice model.

Second, we have a micro 3vil cruiser built by B-Shelf user Turkguy19. (who goes by the same name on CSF) A nice ship with a suprising amount of detail. The weapons he made for this ship work well. And as is anything 3vil it has to have skulls! Several decently done ones I might add. It's not easy making convincing skulls.

And third, another Crysilon vessel made this time by Paul Kanter (FilmmakerPaul of CSF) The colors are, as is Crysilon standard, bright, obnoxious, loud,garish, and probably any other word that means painfully colorful. The pods used for the wings are my favorite part. They look perfect on this ship.

Yeah....it's red

I have a strange thing for red. Almost every ship I've blogged has been red. Anyway, JPascal built this cool hover car type MOC. The construction is the coolest bit of SNOT I've seen in a while, making the bottom studless apperas to be the new thing around town. The striping on this thing is really cool. The red on the side makes it look kinda like a futuristic super-cool woody. I love red and black color schemes. (Maybe I'll actually build something using it one of these days.) And so, JP has proved he can out-build the majority of CSFers. Congrats, JPascal. :^)

Charlie Citrin, lego2000 on CSF, is an excellent mech builder. His latest mech is a beautiful piece of work. My favorite part has to be the colors. Blue and yellow is a great color scheme. And it really works well here. The weapons are another cool thing about this. Check out that super-cool shield, and the neat rifle. Nice work l2k.

Mark Stafford builds some of the coolest ships I've ever seen. His Micro-scale ships are all the rage on CSF. Or they were a couple weeks ago. But anyway, he has decided that space needs more color. And in horrific combonations too. Thus he built a Crysilon attack ship. These aliens apparently like bright colors. Lots of bright colors. The ship itsself is cool. I personally like the tail the best. Can't quite say why. I just do. The cockpit is cool, looks like the pilot has more visibilty than your average spaceman/alien. And there you have it. One MOC, one Snoikle post, and one very tired snoikler.

Kcaster, who sometimes goes by the ailis Nick Dean, built a way too cool Diplomatic transport. The SNOTeed sides are perfect. When you first look at it you can't tell it's made of Lego. The colors are awesome. I for one supported the tan in there. It takes a step away from the ever-so-common gray + red color scheme. The greeblies on here are teh h0tn3ss. Perfectly set into the ship. Excellent work Nick!
